Pricing honesty
What's actually in your internet bill?
Most home-internet ads quote one number. Most bills charge a different one. Here's a plain-spoken walk-through of where the gap comes from — every category, what it's called on your bill, and what HomeWifi30 charges instead.

“Typical national ISP” ranges reflect commonly published fees on FCC Broadband Consumer Labels across major US providers. Verify your current bill on your provider's label before switching.
Every ISP has to publish a “nutrition label” now.
Since April 2024 (October 2024 for smaller providers), the FCC requires every internet provider to publish a standardized Broadband Consumer Label — the same kind of black-and-white disclosure box you see on a cereal box.
It lists the monthly price, every fee, contract terms, early-termination penalties, data caps, and typical speeds. It has to be on the provider's website at the point of sale. It's the most reliable way to compare what you'll actually pay before you sign up.
- Monthly price (and what it resets to after the promo)
- Every additional charge with a dollar amount
- Whether there's a contract — and the early termination fee
